Habeas Corpus

Glenn Greenwald comments about the restoration of Habeas Corpus by the US Supreme Court, albeit by a small 5-4 margin in Boumediene vs. Bush. The usual suspects dissent against any restraints on executive power.

It has been a long journey from the days of the Torture Memos. Speaking of which, I am outraged that John Yoo continues to teach at my Alma Mater. A half a world and a half century ago men like him would be tried as war criminals.
