Wired waxes nostalgic about Windows - right from the Windows 1.0 days. I came of age as a DOS and Windows hacker - which is how I landed my first job at IBM, writing Device Drivers and OS Extensions. Those were the fun days. Nothing compares to writing (yes, it's an art) code.
